Red Bull asked me to be the first featured photographer for their Red Bull TV series, Chasing the Shot. Our second trip for this project was here, on The Emerald Isle. If you’ve never been, I highly suggest going and not just for surf. For the people! I’m not sure I’ve ever felt more welcome in a foreign country. When we arrived, I had a pretty bad case of the sniffles and was a little apprehensive to go straight to the bar, but who can refuse a perfectly poured Guinness on your first day in the country? So we went and the bartender immediately noticed my suffering immune system and poured me a hot whiskey on the house. His recommendation was to have two a day and my cold would be gone in a flash. Can you believe it? The ol’ chap was right! But I kept up the daily regimen just to be safe.
